14-day returns on unused gearThe Shimano Sentire Sakana Gen II rods are a quality Shimano rod designed and built in collaboration with Tackle World and Shimano pro anglers to suit a wide range of Australian conditions. To sum up the Sentire Sakana II rods, they're a better-than-average quality rod with an affordable price tag. The Sentire Sakana Gen II rods are built on a high-quality 24 ton Toray graphite blank, which is lightweight, super responsive and very sensitive to vibrations so you don't miss a bite. The guides on the Sentire Sakanas are the latest tangle-free Fuji Fazlite K Frame guides: strong, super smooth and durable. The butt sections are built with custom EVA grips for comfort and performance, each model suiting the fishing style the rod was intended for. All models are fitted with a lightweight Shimano reel seat.
This is the ultra-light estuary model designed for targeting species such as whiting, bream, bass, perch, trevally etc. It's nice and long which is great for that extra casting distance when using light lures or soft plastics.
This is the light general estuary model. If you're just starting out (or looking to upgrade) and looking for an all-rounder rod that's better than average in quality, this is the model for you. Bream, whiting, blackfish, flathead, trevally, tailor etc will all handle nicely on this rod whether you're fishing with bait, lures or soft plastics.
This model is a nice versatile model for use either in the estuary or offshore out of the boat. In the estuary you'd target species such as big flathead, jewfish, salmon etc. Offshore this can be used around shallow reefs or even just bottom bashing for fish like snapper, flathead, jewfish, cod etc. It's not super heavy so it will be a fun rod for offshore fishing, plenty of rod bending action!
This model is a bit heavier and built for bigger, harder fighting fish, or when you're using heavier tackle. With this you'd be targeting anything from jewfish and big snapper to dolphinfish and small mackerel. You can also use this rod for slow pitch jigging quite well.
This model is a fantastic beach/rock allrounder. Not too heavy or too light in line weight, it's suited for both bait and lure fishing, and casts like a champion! It has plenty of power in the bottom half of the rod and just enough flick in the tip to make sure casting distance is optimised without reducing the ability to fight and land good fish. At 9ft it's long enough to fish off both the beach and rocks, but not too long that it's hard to handle on the rocks when you're trying to bring up a fish. It's a nice thin profile rod for lightweight use and manoeuvrability.
Built for the beach is all I have to say here. It's very similar to the 902 model above, just that little bit longer for a better cast and to keep the line above the waves more, and a little bit heavier to suit bigger sinkers and/or lures. Ideal for casting lures and a very nice bait rod too. It's a slim and low profile beach rod, not heavy and bulky like old school rods or cheaper model rods.
